About Forgiveness…

A fact of life...a way of learning. Would you forget the fact that fire burns?

  1. I’m not sure if it’s possible to forgive and yet not allow your memory to forgive as well. In either case, I think the greater task is letting go. Letting go of it ends the power it has over us. To hang on to it is to surrender to it and to allow it to continue to influence our lives. Why provide that favor to something that has wronged us?

    Hope this makes sense.

    1. Hi Joe,

How are you? I hope all is well.

Joe, it the same as saying forgive but never forget. Isn’t that how we learn? Not forgetting does not mean you hang on or live the rest of your life thinking about the problem. It just means you learned.

Would you ever want to forget that fire is hot and it burns? 🙂

  2. I never forgive. Why should I? Sounds like religious crap to me, making me some kind of divine creature that absolves a sinner. If someone did me wrong, he/she should deal with same (or not), not I.

      1. I’m saying that I don’t give a rat’s ass about forgiving. Remember my comments about hope? Same area. Same shit. It’s for mainstreamers impregnated with lame cultural values, norms, morals, protocols, rites, beliefs, etc.

          1. Seems you didn’t get me yet, or……..didn’t take me seriously, hehe. But even IF I would let myself get drawn into a world where forgiveness is seen as an important ingredient of life and interaction between people, I would never come into a situation to forgive my wife, because there simply isn’t anything to forgive her for.

So, no exceptions as far as I’m concerned.

            1. Yeah, I know, it’s hard to peep outside of the box. But to save your inner peace, ……….I wasn’t selling, sugah.

            2. I still have to write the story about forgiveness. It is one of those things I reserve for loved ones and people I care about. Everyone else can go to the hell…or wait for my apology once I create my opportunities. 🙂

Problem is I care about too many people….I am such a softie.

            3. Ah I see. You mean Chip, Claude, ………..

When will you ever learn, oh Angela Nightingale?

  3. You asked: “Now why does that bother YOU? Hehehehe.”

And I answer: Not bother, but um…..maybe because I care a tiny bit about you. Ugh!

          1. Are you telling me the secret is out now? Well in that case, there’s no need anymore to answer your question.
