Say Hello To Chicken Patties : Mechanically Separated Chicken
Looks yummy? That is chicken! Looks like pink ice-cream but it is chicken not ice cream.
Processed chicken, mechanically separated by smashing and pressing the chicken–bones, eyes, guts, gizzards and all–through a sieve. What comes out is the image above: Gross, pink and loaded with bacteria such as Salmonella.
Ammonia is used to wash and cleanse bacteria from the pink mush. Evidently, ammonia does not kill Salmonella or E.coli very well: Recent consumer reports show high levels of Salmonella and other bacteria in chicken sold to consumers.
How could ammonia soaked chicken taste so good? Artificial flavors added please our taste palates and artificial colors please our visual palettes –pink chicken looks uncooked, rather gross and not visually appealing.
Next time you buy chicken nuggets, think about all the unhealthy parts of chicken, the toxic chemicals added to make it look and taste good, then take a bite if you dare… or do not value your health!

That really looks nasty! It’s no wonder I’m a vegetarian.
After that post I stopped eating chicken nuggets
I certainly wouldn’t blame you from refraining from eating chicken nuggets after this.
