Beyonce Worshipper Found Dead After Sacrificing Self To Singer

Taniya Hattersfield, 23, of College Park, GA was found dead Tuesday morning of self-inflicted stab wounds to the chest. Taniya Hattersfield was what appears to be a new member of the National Church of Bey, an organization based on the religion called Beyism. The religion was founded to worship the R&B superstar Beyoncé Knowles and boasts hundreds of members that call themselves Divine Divas and even view Beyoncé’s music as sacred text.

The exact details of the suicide note were not revealed, but police did indicate that Hattersfield took her own life as a sacrifice to Beyoncé at the request of the National Church of Bey. We were able to speak with the family of Hattersfield. Her mother had this shocking response: “She was crazy,” her mother said, “Plum f-ckin’ crazy! You can’t be nothin’ but crazy to take your life over some lightskin b***h that sings. I mean, I know that’s my daughter, but I’m just keepin’ it real.”

Hattersfield’s father was less vulgar, but equally shocking. “I don’t even consider that my daughter. My sperm don’t make crazy b****s that worships singers,” the father said, “just because her mama and I had a good time one Friday night don’t make her my daughter.”

Meanwhile, Taniya Hattersfield’s body has yet to be claimed by any family members. It currently sits in the hospital morgue waiting for a proper burial. If her body is not claimed, Taniya may eventually be laid to rest in a Potter’s Field, a cemetery typical for homeless people that have no known families to claim them.

The last sentence is the saddest part of this story. Taniya killed herself and no one cared. Her family is correct she took her life for a crazy reason, as far as we know; their disappointment and pain understandable with each memory a stab wound to the soul.

The need to belong and connect trap teenagers and young adults, blind and render them incapable of knowing when to ask for help.

WTF is Beyism? A religion to worship the R&B superstar Beyoncé Knowles, HUH! Beyonce do the responsible thing: Denounce this lunatic religion or replace it with a dream that is positive, attainable and keep young People of Color on paths of growth and self-efficacy.

Surprising interests in this story roused curiosity around comments that would follow. Here are two: But first two remarks and an update.

  1. The first  comment surprised  only that someone would defend the insanity.

  2. The second comment inspired hope.

  • There are people with sensible values.  Right?

Update:

Beyism is the brainchild of 12 friends high on pot in Atlanta. (4)   Apparently, they are still high on pot because they plan to publish a Bible called Beyble.  This would be amusing and full of laughter had Taniya Hattersfield not killed herself in the name of  Beyism.

Was Taniya among the 12 high founders?  Probably not, founders  don’t sacrifice themselves they find  followers for that role.

Future plans for Beyism include expansion in numbers outside the Atlanta area.   My suggestion, keep the number of followers  at 12 or less and take away their pot.

Don’t speak about things you don’t understand. If you simple minded creatures would take the time the listen and comprehend Beyonce’s gospel you would know that this sacrifice was necessary. Her parents seemed to have let her down but thanks to Beyoncé she’s in a better place now.

B, with all do respect you sound foolish just like this woman and the rest of her followers. Have you ever read the bible? There is no true gospel, but the One God made! It is up to you to believe a lie, but that is the work of the devil! Heaven and hell are real-we chose that path. How dare her place herself as a god. And yes she is a :god,” but with a LITTLE g! There is only one true God above all and one day she too will bow down before Him. Have mercy on all of you. May the truth of God be revealed to you and all who are blinded! God have mercy!

  1. God will punish beyonce and her useless fellowers. There is only but one true God and he is the most high God.. Beyonce is nothing in the sight of God, she is useless, lier, manipulative bastard. Our God is a merciful God. God can decide to take her life withen a second and show her she is nothing but a bitch and a hore. I pray she realises what she and this so called fellowers ar doing. May God save their soul. One of the commandment of God says, do no serve another god beside me. This is the devil at work. But God is greater than them all, and vry soon beyonce will bow before him.

    1. I am not sure Beyonce has any control over the maddness that surrounds her fans. However, I agree she speak out: Tell her fans she is not a deity. This may prevent other impressionable people from believing this nonsense.

  2. Sign of end time, pple pls be wise and give ur life to christ. Dnt let one cheap prostitude who flunt her useless self as god to fool u.

  3. But why is this article being spread?? Yall do know that this source you’re referencing (NewsNerd) is a satirical website, right?? Why is there an entire blog being written about this? Stop condoning NewsNerd’s bs..its not real!!

    1. Yes I know…..and it takes real talent to write satirical articles that generate good discussions despite the lack of veracity. Satire and humor cross all lines….great ways to stimulate discusssion of controversial topics.

In this case Taniya Hatterfield did kill herself as sacrifice to Beyism . I think that is worth telling so other young adults do not follow.

  4. whether it is true or not we can not be sure on that…. But an inevitable fact remains that the earth drawing to an end.Jesus is coming back to remove his people from all the chaos and false prophecy that is happening on earth. The seven plagues will soon eventuate but before that Jesus will come.. Are you ready to meet JESUS, THE KING OF KINGS AND THE LORD OF LORDS???.. This is something every followers of the one true most highly extalted GOD Should ask ourselves. The Abraham , the God Issac and the God of Moses and the God that causes all to creatures, plants and the landscapes and deep oceans and thick green luscious forest and the deserts and the great mountains that stand tall to take form is coming SOON… PRAISE GOD.. THOU SHALL NOT BE DECIEVED BUT LLOK TO GOD ALWAYS THE AUTHYOR AND THE FINISHER OF OUR FITH.

  5. In reading this artificial article and the comments, the common issue I am noticing is Beyonce is being blamed. Not once, in all the articles that I have read, mention she encouraged or even knows about the cult. The issue today is that people are not willing to be themselves, causing them to leach on to celebrities and idolize media. That is an issue that starts in the home. Beyonce is an artist, period. She sings, acts and dances. She is a mother and a wife, nothing else. If common America decides to create a “church” around her, that’s their own ignorance. There is one creator in every religion. But to state Beyonce needs to speak up to her fans is ludicrous because if I were her, I would not speak up either. I wouldn’t want my name attached to this nonsense. Oppose to spreading this dumb story like a wildfire, try speaking about something that matters like uplifting our lost boys and girls, focus on the issue why we no longer have adolescents wanting to become doctors and dentist but rather video vixens and rappers. There are so many other stories to run then this junk. Beyonce should not be a role model because she is a performer. If a child or teen is worshipping anyone other then their family values, the issue is in the home of that child. Too many people want to blame TV and the artist and actors for the child acting out. Raise your damn kids to know right from wrong and we would not have school shootings and high school dropout or girls turning to using their body for attention. Wake up America before its too late… (Drops Mic)

    1. Good point,Tia! Unfortunately, once in the spotlight you are held to higher standards. A disappointment when I read about police brutality and medical provider incompetence excused, and even rationalized at the expense of victims. Here there are professional standards not being upheld by anyone with authority.

Beyonce is not responsible for the actions of her fans. However, if I was Beyonce I would use this madness as an opportunity to help confused young black adults learn self-love and self-confidence. ..help them find purpose. .

Beyonce has no obligation to help anyone other than herself and her family.

Btw, I am still amazed this story lives on.

    2. Tia,

I have not paid attention to this silly Beyism. Now I see your concern…. and that was mine to begin with and the reason for the post..Still, .Beyonce or a spokesperson for her can stop this maddness before it grows larger or becomes a sick nightmare. Does Beyonce want her name affliated with this group? Ignoring people is never a good solution…humility wins hearts.

  6. Hi Tia,
On further thought, Beyonce is busy. This story never made her radar and even if it did she probably read in disgust with an angelic moment of WTF…

If I was Beyonce I would welcome the opportunity to give back to young adults who are obviously confused and marginalized. Before they get to the point of Taniya Hattersfield, show them they do matter just as they are. Teach them to value life and each other. How difficult is that message for someone as powerful as Beyonce? Start building that infrastructure to give back when and where it is needed most…

BTW, those young adults are her fans!!!

  7. When on a platform like a mega star it is plausible to say that one is responsible for what they say-musically or within a message portrayed or conveyed through the media…how one recieves and reacts to that is their choice alone…but…if i know that i reach millions-i know i can potentially influence millions…though her image and msg hav drastically changed i wont deny her humanity…nonetheless-i can say that she probably knows of it because i do…n you do too…im non religious by the way…meaning i dont believe n man…man made religion…i believe n GOD CHRIST AND THE HOLY SPIRIT…BEACAUSE OF MY FAITH AND WHAT HE HAS DONE FOR ME…not the bible…a man or woman…not church or my family…i needed HIM…i called HIS NAME and he saved my life…i was endoctrinated…decieved…lead like a horse to water…(i drank)…but GODS GRACE N MERCY IS BUILT ON FAITH ALONE…U NEED NO OTHER FORM TO JUSTIFY UR BELIEF N HIM…AT LEAST I DONT…I AM SPIRITUAL…JUS LIKE WAT I BELIEVE IN…DNT CONDEMN BEYONCE OR OTHERS…JUS DONT ROCK WIT EM…I DNT LISTEN OR CARE FOR IT…BUT I DONT HAV ILL THOUGHTS ABOUT ANYONE…SERIOUS ONES ANYWAY…LOL…BLESS U ALL…POLICE URSELVES BEFORE PASSING JUDGEMENT TO NO AVAIL ANYWAY…PLZ TRY TO UNDERSTAND MY MSG…

  8. this is crazy how can a being present her self as a goddess,LORD FORGIVE THEM FOR THEY DON’T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING

  9. Beyism is from the pit of hell… A religion founded by people probably intoxicated by marijuana can never be real… Jesus told us of this.. To me, “its a sign of the end” …. Believe in Jesus Christ and be saved

  10. can’t be taken aback to hear about devilworshippers, because that was prophesied long before it happens.Try to read: Rev12:12
    1john5:19
it says:we know that we’re of God and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.
thereupon, let us Jesus follower keep up with him but dont forget praying fos those who are still in darkeness
    PRAISED BE THE LORD.

  11. For in the comming of lord Jesus Christ many thinhs will take place but do not deceive and tempeted by those evil works for lust and pleasure is not of God.

  12. I think its sad folk have gone off the deep end over celebrities… I am praying for folk who worship anything or anyone other than GOD.

    1. Hi, it is sad! In general, most celebrities care only for the money they make from their fans. Most black stars can do much more; they have resources to help lift the black community. Unfortunately, they are not accessible to their black fans. Colin Kaepernick is one of the exceptions.

      I pray too. 🙂

      1. Yes and its sad folk with money and power can help but they are not helping. I pray daily for the folk because somewhere its a breakdown in communication…

    2. There are people killig themselves in the name of your God. Is that okay with you?
God summoned Abraham to kill his son Isaac. Is that okay with you?
Jesus agreed to die on the cross. Is that okay with you?

        1. I wasn’t looking for an argument either. I was just curious. Alas you decided to leave me in the dark.

Um…..good thing I love darkness. It enlightens me, brightens my day, and (sometimes) sets me free.

  13. I have never heard of this story before. This Beyonce cult would be just so laughable if it weren’t for the fact this girl killed herself. This is celebrity worship taken to extremes, and it’s a sad state of affairs when people idolize human beings to such an egregious degree. The silence from Beyonce on this matter lets me know where she stood on this issue.

      1. Same here, but I have a few guesses like some people feeling like they need to live vicariously through whoever celebrity they like to feel better about their own failures.

        1. Life is always greener on the other side. They think celebrities or wealthy people have everything but no one does. People don’t think about the number of celebrities addicted to drugs or alcohol. Or the high suicide rate considering how happy celebrities appear.

          1. Yes. There have been some times where I’ve felt that way about those richer and/or more famous than me. I’ve heard a bunch of stories of celebrities doing and even glorifying drugs. Some people are able to hide when they’re down.
