Yesterday, in a voice vote, Massachusetts legislators decided against calling for the release of Justina Pelletier to her family – and voted down a call for accountability of the DCF’s misguided actions and mismanagement of state resources. Because of the voice vote, there is no record of how any individual legislator voted, but Democrats outnumber Republicans in the Massachusetts lower chamber by a margin of 4-1.
This is CYA, no leadership, all cowards and unaccountable….we shall see. We do not forget!
Health and Human Services Secretary John Polanowicz, whose agency oversees the DCF, has called for the release of Justina in a letter… “Justina Pelletier should return to her home state of Connecticut to receive the services and support she needs close to her friends, family, school and community. We strongly believe that this outcome is in Justina’s best interest, and have laid the groundwork to make it happen.” Polanowicz said he is putting together a reunification plan, but ultimately the decision now lies with the courts. “DCF does not have the authority to determine when and if custody should be returned to Justina’s parents” because of a Judge’s ruling “that it is in the best interest of Justina to remain in DCF custody for now.”
An Emergency exists to get Justina home. Will Massachusetts court accommodate and release #JustinaPelletier, a victim of child abuse by the state of Massachusetts, Department of Children and Families and Harvard’s Boston Children’s Hospital? Can a Judge #FreeJustinaNow that there is a reunification plan? Or will this process of reunification and the court cost tax payers and Justina another 14 months?
Remember there was no medical child abuse (Boston Children’s Hospital LIED) and no reason for the State of Massachusetts to be Justina’s legal guardian. Furthermore, the state of Massachusetts is now under suspicion for child abuse? How much longer should we watch Massachusetts abuse Justina and other children? Finally, How do we get justice from a corrupt state such as Massachusetts? How do we prevent this from ever happening again?
