Marcus Garvey had the right idea of making it possible for black people to return to Africa. I wish he succeeded. We didn’t know then how Hoover and the FBI waged a war of lies, fear and smears to destroy black leadership and unity to prevent integration.
Definitely. It’s a shame that COINTELPRO got to him and others. I was even surprised that T’Challa/Black Panther himself made a brief reference to Garvey during the UN scene: “We must build a bridge…”
