Today, the truth is viewed as a WMD and is slated for destruction. While fighting valiantly to be heard, governments silently declared war in the name of national security. Whose national security? Not we the people.
The US and other western countries declaration of war on the truth led to a state of misinformation. No longer can Americans believe their government or mainstream media. Remember the days when we thought our government sent our children to war so other nations would be free to tell the truth. Remember? Turns out that was a lie.
It will take a revolution to rescue the truth that is bound, gagged and imprisoned by lies.

Rescue the truth? From what? From people telling me their truth is the truth, and mine is crap?
Um……the truth is the truth and nothing but the truth? So there’s only one? Whose truth is that?
You just said two different things. “Their truth is the truth” and …”the truth is the truth”…
Of course I did. Their truth often is not my truth. Hmmm, truth to be told, I don’t even care so much about what is called truth. I came to believe that everything can be called true for a while, till something new pops up. New in the sense that is was already there, but that we didn’t realize same. For instance, the possibility of creating Cyberspace was there all the time, but humans of let’s say 200 years ago, weren’t ready for it yet at that time. So, if someone at that time would have come along saying, “Hey folks, listen up, let’s go to Cyberspace and have some fun harassing our enemies”, that person would have been burned at the stake and called a liar.
The tragedy for the ultimate truth possessors/addicts is that what is defined as the truth is, at best, only true for a while, till it’s replaced by another one.
Also there’s this: I never met a liar who, from her/his perspective, didn’t believe he/she was telling the truth, even if they were lying on purpose, and damn well knew they were lying as seen from others’ perspective.
Now, putting all this in context, we’re back again at the “us-against-them” phenomenon, where “them” are the liars and “us” are the bearers of truth. Yup, we’re a long way from “we the people”.
Good points. However, the truth is not a matter of perception, it is factual. Yes we have perceptions of the ‘truth’ but that’s not the truth. Your ‘truth’ and my ‘truth’ are our perceptions and not necessarily factual as in the truth.
So what you’re saying is, that the truth exists without people? If so, I think there’s truth in that. Like the tiger not knowing it’s a tiger, and yet does exist, with or without people calling it a tiger or not.
