The new plantations where the unspeakable occurs daily. What one has to ask is the purpose of prison to torture and make sure prisoners never reintegrate into society? Or is it for men in uniform to become master torturers?

This is just crazy. How has this not been struck down by the courts? Has anyone heard of “cruel and unusual punishment”???
Courts strike it down? They are in on it!
What surprises me is the silence of the medical community. The ripple effect is not confirmed to prisoners, it affects family, neighborhoods and communities. We wonder about mass shootings and other forms of violence. Mental illness treated in this manner leads to more severe mental illness and more violence.
Honestly, I’m not surprised that the medical community is silent. Inmates are treated and viewed in dehumanizing ways in many circles, and the same may well be true with the medical community.

For me, the first sign of recovery is when I start to exercise regularly. Just started working out with a trainer this week. Thanks for asking.
That is way too sick. Even countries that would be considered 3rd world would be ashamed about this.
It’s sick and it’s happening in plain sight. Prisons, detention centers are disguised plantations with whites regardless of their violent crimes get better accommodations while people of color are preyed on.
Seriously, and it’s a travesty. America should take lessons from other countries who treat their inmates more humane. Also, how much do you want to bet that a good portion of those prisoners are either falsely accused or non-violent offenders?
