My Thoughts: Life Sucks

Life sucks

So what do I do? I wish to give younger folks inspiration and wisdom. I wish a simple, persevere, work hard, and your dreams will come true would suffice. Not so at all. You need a plan and the right people surrounding you. Or you can end up like me or homeless looking in the garbage for food.

Down on the ground, starving and in pain, I wondered did I ever have friends or family or was I hatched?  Don’t end up like me alone without a safety net of people who care. Friendships require nurturing and take years but well worth it when trust and loyalty are present.

When  I  say don’t end up like me, is not about self-pity or self-deprecation. Life is what you make of it.  I made a mess out of mine.  Don’t do the same to yours.

  1. Angela, I’ve had this battle with you for over four years now. And I won’t give up! Every day we’re alive is a blessing. Until our natural last breath, it is our duty to our parents, our childhood mentors, our good friends, our families and overall humanity to keep trying.

We all make mistakes. It is from those we learn. Experience with introspection gives us wisdom. You are now wise. You also are blessed with things the vast majority don’t have: beauty, creativity, high intelligence, a very advanced education and career, a spouse for many years, two grown up children, a lovely grandchild, really good friends, a better than average blog following, and now a new lover who meets all your criteria. You also have improved health, with your brain injury finally being acknowledged and it is improving.

So when you write you’re a failure that makes lesser mortals like myself feel even less happy in our accomplishments. And yet life shouldn’t be about goals, just enjoying the moment. It is the little things, the free things, that keep us happy.

Therefore get out more with your new boyfriend, and other friends, hiking and whatever brings you closer to Mother Earth. You need to be grounded, in touch with the spiritual. Success is another person’s failure. And once even that person gets what they want, they won’t be happy if they are not happy within them self. So no more mirroring off others. Instead, count your blessings and cherish what you already have. Live for the moment.

OK Angela? We’re beside you, holding your hands. Walk the path of LIFE….

    1. Pete, it’s my thoughts and I’m entitled to them. Trust me I can write a handbook on the most efficient ways to accomplish such a task and it’s not to broadcast it.

Btw, if I wanted to do it there is nothing anyone can do. It’s the anniversary, let me be.

      1. I felt like this a few years ago until I pushed back in life. Count all that you went through as joy because thats’ when you are a victor and got the victory.

          1. Now you are sound like me!!! My pain would have me crying constantly and feeling worthless, My self-esteem did take a hit from the prosecution that I have endured all my life until now. I decided in my spiritual journey, I NOT let anyone’s attacks get to me.

            1. I hate to see another Black sister in pain, and I’m still overcoming challenges as well. There is going to be a major breakthrough in both of our lives.
