All of Me is a love song, but I think of my children when I hear the song. It’s a song that somehow takes me back to them growing up though they were pretty much all grown up when this song came out. The associations we make sometimes have no place in memory and ostensibly logic.
It’s a sentimental song written by John Legend to his wife. For me, it’s a beautiful ballad about love, not just romantic love.
Aha, it’s a love ballad to me from me! I love you, Angela!
All of Me
All of Me
Drawing me in, and you kicking me out
Got my head spinning, no kidding, I can’t pin you down
What’s going on in that beautiful mind
I’m on your magical mystery ride
And I’m so dizzy, don’t know what hit me, but I’ll be alright
But I’m breathing fine
You’re crazy and I’m out of my mind
Loves all of you
Love your curves and all your edges
All your perfect imperfections
Give your all to me
I’ll give my all to you
You’re my end and my beginning
Even when I lose I’m winning
‘Cause I give you all, all of me
And you give me all, all of you
Even when you’re crying you’re beautiful too
The world is beating you down, I’m around through every move
You’re my…
Nice pic.
Thank you, Roald!
Yes, dear Angela, Music is “Soul Food”! And a very nice photo indeed!
Cordial regards
Hi Andreas, Isn’t it? Music has a way capturing the soul. Glad you liked the picture. It was a lovely night with a nice breeze.
Angela that is a beautiful song and you look lovely!
Hi Rudy, Thank you! It’s funny how once a song gets into your head how hard it is to let go. It becomes a beautiful song of self-love when you dedicate it to yourself.
