Exercise: Did It!

Ran 6.35 miles. Seventy-six percent of the run was in zone 4 and another five percent in anaerobic Zone 5. I was working hard and I am not sure why. Slept well, had a soft boiled egg for breakfast , and was well-hydrated. Hmmm, started limiting my food intake, maybe that explained the fatigue. Will monitor.

Issa Rae’s Broken Pussy played and I couldn’t get the song out my head. It distracted and entertained my mind enabling me to complete the run. Get out and enjoy the day. Just do it!

  1. Great distance! Hearty and healthy congratulations! (Your video worked fine for me.)

I watched the BP song. I’m completely out of any “pop” culture…aging ears couldn’t pick up the first several words. Bouncy/catchy tune. Cute kid. If I were up to it, I’d copy or do something to share with my two — now 52 and 49 yo — daughters and 26 yo granddaughter. (I’m the only male in the family bloodline.)

      1. Despite my IT ignorance, I was able to send the link. Elder daughter somewhat aghast but very okay…the other two, so far, total (shocked?) silence.

In return — I think somehow related — the elder sent me this just now. I’m not trying to push any religious or any other agenda (seems this lady might be a gospel singer?), but I think that if I were an active runner this 3-min. clip would be a good accompaniment to “pounding the pavement.” Hope the link works, and I hope you might like it:

        1. Thank you for sharing. What a great song! Very uplifting! I downloaded it to two of my playlists: workout 2 and relax. I like gospel music though I am not religious. I think you other two are wondering how to reply. lol
