Exercise: Did It!

Did it! I jogged 3.25 miles in 43 minutes. It was hard, and I pushed myself. Three minutes into the jog, my HR went from 55 to 155 and remained there and above for the entire workout. I felt it too.

To begin with, my pre-exercise BP 142/100 HR 55.
Thirty minutes post-exercise BP 128/100 HR 104.
Average HR 160; maximum HR 172.
I was in Zone 5 for 75% of the jog, not good at all.

It felt fantastic to jog outdoors. The sun was out, and that is always great. However, I was not in good shape. I need to get stronger and lose weight. Also, I am on a new BP medication that will take a few weeks to titrate.

It’s been a while, but I am back and committed to getting in shape.
What exercise did you do?

  1. Angela now that it’s warmer a fast pace walk in my opinion is how you should start out! You can concentrate more on form and a pair of 2 pound dumb bells can help you tone up. Take your time.
