Random Thoughts: Do What I Want Matter

There is just so much one person can absorb before becoming sopping wet, cold and miserable.  I don’t care if I’m sopping wet, but the cold is uncomfortable and I’ll get use to it.  I always adjust?  Do what I want matter?

    1. Hi Roald. Sometimes what matters to me, gets drowned out by noise. Only lately, I started to understand what matters to me. Even then people try to tell me what should matter to me. After my brain got damaged, I am doubted myself and my thoughts. But when I go with my gut it’s the right decision.

      1. People telling you (and me) “what should matter to me”, better shut up. The only time I would listen to stuff like that, is when that person knows at least a big part of “who I am”. Especially so called professionals in the field should take this to heart, and first check if their expertise would be applicable in a certain case. And if not, keep their crap to themselves. Like I once wrote on my FB page: “I wonder how many psychiatrists/psychologists/psychotherapists know what’s going on in their own brain,………”. I recently posted this again to a group called “Psychology & Life”. It was denied 😈

Re: “But when I go with my gut it’s the right decision.” That’s because your gut is the closest thing to what I’ve called your primal knowledge/wisdom ☺️

        1. Wow! That was meaningful and thoughtful. You’re right many people who want to dictate your actions don’t know who you are. Physicians are a good example of such arrogance.
