Healthy Life: Did It!

Did It! I walked 5.3 miles, and I felt fantastic. Exercise gives me such a high. It feels like I can conquer the world. As I have said many times, exercise is the best medicine.

I forgot that end of last year and stopped exercising and started overeating. Yup, I gained a ton load of weight. That made me feel lousy. Fortunately, I regained my sense and started to run. One day I overdid it and was out of commission for three weeks.

When I started to exercise again, I focused on fat burning. You don’t have to do heavy-duty exercise to burn fat. Walking at a comfortable pace for at least 30 minutes most days a week will get you there. I combined that with a healthy low, carbohydrate diet. I was eating only for eight hours a day. During the 16-hour fast, once my glycogen stores depleted, my body burned fat. Within a couple of weeks, I noticed the difference and eventually shed the weight.

Now that I am lighter and my clothes fit, I feel terrific.

I did mine! What exercise did you do today?

  1. Dear Angela, I read and watched this uplifting post and tried to “Like” it, but the “system” didn’t record my “Like.” So this comment must suffice as my “Like”!

  2. Darn it! (Could it be my computer that is the problem here? I don’t think so, but who knows?…I’m such an IT ignoramus….) I typed and “posted” a short comment to “Like” this post and its uplifting content, but it wasn’t printed. We’ll see what happens when I “Post Comment” this time….

  3. You look great Dr. Angela as always! I started to do 100 push ups a day a little over a month ago and now up to 125 a day. That’s my exercise.
