I walked 6.44 miles this morning in 1 hour and 56 minutes. It felt fantastic! Unlike last Saturday, today was less humid, and I walked quickly without getting winded but did slow down for the last 20-30 minutes because of my heart rate and the heat from the sun. It still amazes me how great it feels to exercise. When feeling tense, I often go for a walk and feel less uptight and ready to tackle anything that comes my way.
I did mine. What exercise did you do today?

“Like!” Great job, Angela…I’m not sure that I can discern from your conversation how long it took you to complete the 6 miles…? Hmmm — as perhaps a snarky, inappropriate question from an old-old guy who has seen, and admired, too-many-to-count female athletes “in rigorous-exercise mode,” why don’t you use a sports bra? Wouldn’t it be an uplifting, firming/figure-maintaining benefit to your beautiful/youthful body?
(I note that you’ve recently transitioned to Tik Tok…my first encounter with it…there has been a lot of controversy, no?)
Today, as it happens, marks the 6th-year-and-10th month of my dear wife’s passing on 8-19-2016…still lonely, still ready and anxious to join her….
Hi Bob. Thank you for the like. I walked 6.44 miles in 1 hour and 56 minutes. My HR was up, so I slowed down for the last 20-30 minutes. I will include that information. I use Strava to log my exercise activity.
I wear a Lululemon sports bra, or else my boobs would hurt. 😂 Looking at the video, I can see why you think I don’t have one on.
I love TikTok! My mother looks at it all day, so I decided to give it a second look. It’s grown. The controversy concerns the US wanting to maintain world dominance and squash competition. TikTok does nothing different than other social media platforms except provide American history, not taught in schools, and additional helpful information. IMO, it’s the best platform out there. I can see why America feels threatened by its success.
Thanks, Angela, for the Tik Tok observations. I generally shun anything that so much as smacks of IT as being totally beyond my ken or interest. I can easily understand and relate to your words…might we write that the ol’ clock is “tick-tock-ticking” on the wannabe US empire and that the US duopoly lust for “full-spectrum global dominance” is on the way to becoming “squashed” itself? I for one welcome it…a full-on advocate of multipolarity and truth, justice, dignity, human rights, and peace for every precious one of us.
Cheers….
(~6.5 miles, ~2 hours = ~about a 20-minute-per-mile overall pace, no? If my now-uncertain arithmetic is near correct, I’d say that’s a pretty darn’ good pace! You go, girl!)
Thank you, Bob. Actually, my average pace was about 18 minutes per mile. The fastest split was a little under 17 minutes. Twenty minutes a mile is a relaxing pace. I was around 17 minutes 10 seconds for the first hour. A few years ago, I could walk 14-15 minute mile.
I agree the writing is on the wall as clear day. TikTok
Noted. “Like!”
Great job!
