Personal Story of Head Injury: A Story Without A Title

Lately, I question everything I do because I forget. You see, in 2012, I suffered severe head trauma that doctors missed. Since then, I had several hypertensive crises and mini-strokes with residual weakness. The first stroke, two months  after the head injury was because doctors continued the meds that raised my blood pressure and caused the head injury.

In 2017, a neurologist finally diagnosed my symptoms as  classic head trauma.  Before that, I carried a diagnosis of “abnormal behavior,” PTSD and HTN. Little mention of the hypertensive crisis or stroke which I think my PCP at that time did not believe was real. I had to change doctors to get the care I needed. In July, I will meet with a brain trauma specialist who I hope will help me.

What was it like to live with undiagnosed brain injury? Painful, very traumatic and destructive to my life and relationships. In the early days after the head injury, I woke up and often forgot to get out of bed. Or I would get out of bed and sit in a chair by the window for hours without moving. I would forget to wash my face, bath, get dressed and even eat. Activities of daily living (ADLs) were challenging, and I was alone without help. Took me 3-5 times as long to do simple tasks.

I also dreaded going out in public because I didn’t want anyone to know I was different. Living in my head and overwhelming fatigue made me an invalid.

I knew something was wrong but couldn’t figure it out. Deep down I suspected brain injury but didn’t want it known. I feared it would be the end of my career and it was.

This post has no title because I’m not sure where it’s going. Maybe it’s an explanation for why I haven’t followed through on many stories or why I have imprisoned myself. Or perhaps it’s the beginning of my recovery.

Be patient  as this story slowly unfolds.  Last year, I was in an extremely dark place when I found a flashlight.

Food for thought: How do you deal with being invisible and under recognized ?

How do you deal with being invisible and under recognized ?

You let go and let those in charge lead the way. You recognize your limitations and find joy in your worthlessness. Watch TV and find pleasure in others’ happiness, knowing your unhappiness makes it possible for their happiness.

What an absolutely blissful new life. RIP old life of goals , desires and imagination.  Live life as an observer…observing   hardwork, skill, talent and  happiness of others.  Find vicarious pleasure in  other’s,  as you become devoid of feelings, numb and await  the grim reaper.

LinkedIn Models BAD Customer Service

Customer Service is now a tweet in winds of cyberspace.  LinkedIn demonstrates the new era of NO customer service and POOR customer experience.

Linkedhelp tweeted:

We’re waiting for your response to our email. If you need us to resend our email – let me know. Thanks! /Kat

Looks like we’re just waiting for your response in order to reinstate your account. Reply to the ticket directly. -STH

I sent  my response from my ipad to Selma.  I resent it to Kat this morning (7/15/14).

Does  Linkedin  model the new form of  #customerservice and #customerengagement?    If so I think it sucks!

I do not feel like an ally  (as touted in the post below) or a valued customer of LinkedIn.  The following article touted   by LinkedIn should first be read by LinkedIn and its staff,  then  principles applied to LI customers (defined as  users of LinkedIn).

Please heed these words from the article:  “You can’t build a trusting relationship on a foundation of dishonesty and self-deception.”

My response to Selma (sender of LI email)  at LinkedIn :

hi Selma,
I am not aware of any content that violate LI professional Community Guidelines.   I am aware of harrassment by others.  In the past, my complaints were not addressed.
I would like to know m accuser because this person harasses me by making unnecessary complaints.  The content of my blogs and post is no different than opinions of others that are offensive.
I was called a black sloth on LI without response from LI when I expressed concern.
What happened to innocent until proven guilty.  Your letter suggest  I am guilty b/o the accusation of an unknown person and I should apologize.  I will not because I did nothing.
LI’s action was uncalled for.

Observations:

After the above  correspondence that started last evening, the following was   the  Email Response  from LinkedIn this morning.

LinkedIn re-sent the same email without LISTENING or responding to my concerns.  Failure to Listen is one of the biggest pitfalls of businesses that  eventually FAIL.

LinkedIn wasted  my time and theirs by sending the same letter, knowing I received it and responded.    Either kick me out of LinkedIn permanently or unlock my account.   I committed no violation.

LinkedIn and Some Blocked Members Responses To Police Brutality and Racism

Linked is a business social media site. Shortly after publishing a post about police brutality and Affluenza, I was locked out of MY linkedIn account without the courtesy or professionalism I came to expect from businesses with top notch customer relation management.

Without explanation LinkedIn prevented access to my emails, contact lists and notes. Two to three emails later in which I requested access to my account I received the email below. That email remains the only response from LI.

Over the last year, I went from 30 to over 2000 connections on LinkedIn. Apparently, my profile is still very active only change is: it is no longer my profile ..it is LinkedIn impersonation of my profile.

In addition, people previously blocked from contact now have carte Blanche access to my profile and I do not.

Let us listen to their conversation about police brutality, violence and terrorist activities against black people. This could be a real learning experience.

First, the three white males are responding to following image : Don’t shoot! I want to grow up.

20140707-203853-74333965.jpg

BTW, their  responses are vanilla cloned for those recipients of white privilege–coded responses,  effective labeling and control of cognitive dissonance among privileged white males.

“Indeed that is so very true , but killing there own , little kids , same color , etc. drive by shootings, guns , gangs, dumbass’s ! The little ones die for the idiot’s that wanna be tough ass holes ! It makes no fricken sense to me ! How can it to anyone else ! They are killing each other is that racism ???? Nope that is fricken Stupidty !!!!!!!!!!!!!! “

Me:  Did he miss the point as do many of his kind?  But note how he feigns concern only to label and insult black children.

Robert Garcia
Robert Garcia

Robert Gracia commented on your photo:

“You would be right Mr. Pinder, the 90% you are referring to are by definition criminals which are classified as such not for their race but rather because they think the laws do not apply to them and there for refuse to follow them. Once again the issue is not about race or guns but about people making excuses and pointing fingers rather then taking responsibility and being productive members of our society”

Me:  I blocked this member from contact. Frankly, I do not like him….he scares me. I would only meet him armed and with bodyguards.  However, LinkedIn, a business social media site is unconcerned about my safety or my individual rights guaranteed under our constitutional republic. LinkedIn is no model for business…it is everything that makes the workplace frustrating, stressful and DANGEROUS!

Me:   This white male has no clue, and I am scared of him. LinkedIn endangered my life as I blocked this person who still stalks.

Doug Arnoldt ( LION 2,700+ ) commented on your photo:

“Considering the homicides in African American Areas ! Who should start first ??”

Me:   Stats are manipulated….I no longer trust any data if it goes against common sense and my observations. Most black people in jails are innocent and as videos keep coming in we get confirmation that this should be investigated further.

don't-shoot.redonside

This  image with a brief caption generated the above comments from  three LinkedIN  members, one of which I blocked from all contact. Why was he able to contact me?   IMO, these men have no compassion or empathy for people of color,    similiar mindset to abusive police and correctional officers, corrupt judges, prosecutors and public defenders.    These are dangerous people.  And these are the comments LinkedIn sent me.  There are more comments but I can’t see them.

“PLEASE SHOUT, we want all of our children to grow up. I am 100% with you on this Angela. Dogma is a word that comes too mind. Really its time for people to admit the hidden truths, that is the best education and cure. I think the requirement for turn around is too minimize crime itself or a certain type of crime. The law is tainted by race or region, but really how can it be changed? I want to walk with a feeling of security too just like you.”

Me:   Claude Boulet gets it!

Several questions for LinkedIn as this post will form the basis of my official complaint to the appropriate authorities–who will do absolutely nothing.

1. Why did LinkedIn lock my account without warning or explanation?  I suspect a complaint originated from the first three fellows.

2. Does LinkedIn not feel an obligation to honor one’s privacy, especially when I blocked ALL contact with Robert Garcia.
Why are stalkers allowed access to my profile? And why did I receive emails from a male I fear?

As I do not have access to my profile I cannot say with certainly that all three were blocked;  now that LinkedIn hacked my account I will never know.

3. Their remarks are offensive and insulting to people of color.  I am deeply offended.   However, Linked-In allowed someone I fear to continually make offensive comments and terrify me.    Why was I blocked for offensive comments and they were not? Old boys network??? And no concern for my safety from Linked-In.

4. Why hasn’t anyone complained about their offensive remarks? Perhaps those who complained were ignored by Linked-In as I was. I believe LinkedIn and  Donald Sperling are one of a kind.

5.  If LinkedIn wants my business I expect respect and customer service. I do not care if LinkedIn does this to others, it still does not make it right or good business.

6.  Why does  LinkedIn not value my business?

Linked-In Response. — others have access to my profile, people I blocked from viewing my profile or communication contact because of stalking concerns. I wonder are those fellows the ones who complained and what is their relationship with Linked-in

Please Stand Your Ground: Get Armed!

This is the LI post that resulted in a locked account without warning. How inconvenient to not have access to one’s business contacts? I suggest LI users look elsewhere for reliable service. An anonymous idiot could be justification for LI to lock your account and read your emails. Is that okay with YOU?

BTW, prostitution seems to be an acceptable business on LI….maybe Linkedin should investigate further. No I think they like that business.

Mistreatment, Abuse and Murder of the Mentally Ill & Others at Rikers Island “Correctional” Facility

This is awful and it is genocide. The number of Black people are decreasing in this country….and no one is noticing. We are being slowly murdered by our own but mostly by white people. The laws are crafted to traps blacks esp those who are mentally ill and learning disabled.

Fantastic article that I will reblog. Thank you. -Angela

United States Hypocrisy

Last month, previously unknown details were brought to light regarding the suspicious circumstances surrounding the untimely death of 39 year-old Bradley Ballard, who died an inmate at New York’s notorious Rikers Island “Correctional” Facility. Though Ballard, whom doctors determined was mentally ill, died back in September, 2013, Rikers Island wasn’t exactly forthcoming about the circumstances leading to his death. Unfortunately, what happened to Ballard could almost be described as a regular occurrence at the Rikers Facility, where an astounding 40% of all inmates struggle with mental illness and are frequently exposed to abuse and neglect at the hands of staff members. A mere five months after conditions at Rikers resulted in Ballard’s tragic death, a distraught and homeless United States Army veteran named Jerome Murdough suffocated to death in a cell that was heated at more than 101°.

911 The New Number to Call For Revenge – Part 2

me-injured-by-cops-

Yesterday, four heavily armed WHITE cops came to my house attacked my son and I because of a WHITE accuser’s concern for my health.

What did I say to generate such concern:   I can’t think well….I am going to rest.     Does that statement warrant cops invading my home with assault rifles, others guns and weapons– enough ammmunition to kill platoon?  Does it justify cops attacking me  and my son?

The four cops would not listen but handcuffed me, knowing I was hypoglycemic.    They did not call EMTs for backup as they should have given this was medical. Did they check my blood sugar? NO However, their actions certainly aggravated,  exacerbated and they almost killed a hypoglycemic person because of the accusations of a white person.

When did 911 become the number for revenge or concern because one is not eating. Perhaps accusers should be questioned more.

The accuser ran to her husband for protection…wondering why I would be upset? *#$%**

911 is the new number to call for Revenge.

Will I always need a WHITE PERSON to advocate whenever I encounter the boys in blue uniforms?

What a world we live! As a black person I am not free. Any white idiot can accuse a black person or call the police on a black person for any stupid reason.   The police (not being paid to think) will ignore the words of the black person and believe the white person. I am guilty until a WHITE person says I am not. Is that justice? Separate and unequal?  And Isn’t abuse of police power and police brutality?  Also abuse of 911?  The police didn’t seem to mind;  they showed off their weapons and were itching for the opportunity to use them.

Folks, when in need of revenge, CALL 911 to get your local police to do the job of revenge for FREE.
