Exercise: Did It!
Dit it! I did a combo of walking and jogging–walked for 30 min and jogged for 30 minutes. I felt great. The weather was fantastic, blue skies.
I made a discovery today. By doing a warm-up walk, my HR was more controlled and didn’t spike above 170. From now on, I will do a warm-up walk for 10-15 minutes before jogging and then a cool-down walk for 10-15 minutes.
Pre-exercise BP: 145/96 HR 78. Post-exercise BP: 126/97 HR 82
Average HR 140; maximum HR 162.
Over 50% of the workout was in zone 2 and 3, with only about 5% in the dreaded zone 5.
Angela, I’m so happy for you! Glad the combo walking/ jogging is working for you . I bet you are feeling better and sleeping better. You look fantastic!
You certainly looked joyful in that video. Keep up the good work with the exercising and everything.
Thanks Curtis. How’s going?
No problem. This has been a busy month for me with work and Camp NaNoWriMo which I just beat the challenge yesterday.
What was the challenge? How much is it to attend Camp NaNoWriMo?
Camp NaNoWriMo is free to enter and fully online. The next session is in July. That off-season challenge allows one to make their own word count from 10K-100K instead of the 50K goal for the real NaNoWriMo in November. The goal is to write a book in a month.
November sounds good. I didn’t realize it was free. Thanks for the information.
That’s right. November is usually one of my busier months mainly because I’m working on a full novel that time. I even got to lead NaNoWriMo events at a local library a few times before, but I couldn’t last year due to the COVID-world we’re in, obviously. Yes, the NaNoWriMo challenges are free to enter.
