Exercise: Did It!

I ran 2.59 miles in about 10.5 minutes based on my watch. However, when I uploaded it to Strava it said I ran 1.96 miles in 14 minutes. I felt cheated! The Apple Watch tried to make up by giving me more on the recovery walk. The watch said 0.74, and Strava uploaded 0.89 miles. Anyway, I know what I did, and it felt fantastic!

I did mine. What exercise did you do today?

  1. Been missin’ you, Angela; do maintain — and increase if feasible — your outings frequency.

    My arithmetic tells me that 1.96M @ 14 minutes = just less than a 7-minute pace! That’s terrific!–way to go-go-go-excel!

(Back in my — too long ago — day, I once did exactly 7.0 mpm in a competitive 15K/9.3K race in perfect weather and optimal physical condition…one of the couple of proud moments of my life…never happened before or again. Thanks for the memory!)

[Dam’ — no sound for me from your 1.09 video….]

    1. Hi Bob! Hru? I am happy I triggered a good memory. Actually, I never did a 7 minute mile. It was about 10.5 minute mile. Recently, Strava introduced a safety feature that hides your start and end locations. Hiding also removes the workout done in those locations. It’s safety vs accuracy. Today, I ran a 5k but Strava logged 2.37 miles. I know what I did but I feel cheated. Lol
