Merry Christmas And A Happy New Year

I sat sandwiched between two people talking so loud to themselves I thought they were talking to me. I looked around and marveled at how the world had changed as I peered at people glued to their laptops or phones talking to themselves. Instead of talking to myself like them, I decided to write.

It has been two years since I relocated to Austin, TX, and I love it. I like the people. I like the diversity, and I love the attitude. Austin and Texas generally are not nearly as pretty as NH, but I feel myself.

I learned to appreciate nature and understand how the world functions in NH. However, here in Austin, I finally feel comfortable in my skin. I no longer worry about being me or being accepted. I don’t care! My attitude is if I can’t be me, F’you. It’s crucial not to lose yourself. That was evolutionary. A diverse environment is liberating.

Christmas is next week. I can’t wait for the New Year. My focus will be on survival skills. It’s something all of us need to do, given the current state of the world.

I am so appreciative of life! Yup, I am the same person who wanted to end it not too long ago. The thing about life is that it can change on a dime. You can’t predict the future. As awful as things may be, it will not last forever. And you never know what future adventures await you. That is why I will Never Give Up, Ever, and neither should you!

I wish all my subscribers and followers a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

  1. The next time you are between people who are talking to themselves, check for earbuds. If you don’t see any earbuds, move away. Belated Happy New Year.
