Exercise: Did It

✅Did it! Ran 6.52 miles. My pace was about a minute slower at 11:29. Average HR was 143 bpm with a maximum HR of 163. About 54% of the run was in zone 4 with the remainder in zone 3 and 2. Only 4.5% in Zone 5.

It felt great to be outdoors. Seventy degrees in the fall feels so much better than seventy degrees in the summer.

COVID is surging so #WearAMask and #SocialDistance.

What exercise did you do today?

  1. Great job, Angela! Your “creature” characterization made me laugh in delight and agreement. Still, I am less than sanguine about Biden-Harris, especially in the foreign-affairs realm that is my passion. The Democratic Party is no longer the “party of the people,” as it was when I was a kid and my dad a laboring-class, labor-union man. Both major parties kowtow to the mil-industrial complex and other (ahem) malign forces that seem all-too in alignment with America’s history of racism, false supremacy, “exceptionalism,” the need to have a person or country du jour to bully and sanction and humiliate, etc.

    1. Thank you, Bob. I think Biden was blessed with new lens to view the world. He is the first major party presidential candidate, I heard, speak truthfully about police brutality and the plight of Black people in America. I hope it wasn’t just talk.
